Chelsea’s Economic Vision: To create a business-friendly environment that provides a high quality of life, a vibrant economy, and a welcoming atmosphere, while protecting our town’s rural character and natural resources
In March of 2017, the Town of Chelsea published its Strategic Economic Development Plan. The plan was facilitated by Kennebec Valley Council of Governments and developed with input from a business survey and public meeting. The plan established priority projects that have the greatest potential to generate economic activity in the town and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
On February 27, 2018, over 30 members of the Chelsea community came out to discuss community and business development opportunities, unique assets to Chelsea and an overall vision for the future of Chelsea.
